LudgerKassette Ampouled Reagent Kits

Ampouled Reagents

These kits are designed to hold ampouled reagents for chemical and biochemical analyses.

Standard Kits for Analytical Chemistry

Our LudgerTag glycan labeling kits use the LudgerKassette system to ensure reliable and consistent analyses.

Custom Kits

Do you use standard procedures that require small amounts of liquid or solid reagents?
If so, we can make custom kassettes for you containing the reagents of your choice.

Types Of Reagents

We can produce for you ampoules containing anything from aggressive acids and alkalis, to high-purity organic solvents.

Oxygen and Moisture-Sensitive Reagents

We can prepare oxygen and moisture-sensitive reagents and as a standard procedure will seal these under a high-purity, anhydrous, inert gas.

How Do LudgerKassette Kits Work?

    What Do They Look Like?

Each kassette consists of an outer holder containing sealed glass ampoules of reagents. The ampoules are protected within strong, leak-proof housings.

    The Kassette Holder

The kassette outer holders are of recyclable polyproylene and designed to be small and slim but very strong.

    Opening a Kassette

To open, place the kassette on a firm, level surface, hold firmly down with the fingers and use your thumbs to carefully unclick the lid then hinge it open.

    Ampoule Housings

The ampoules are protected within strong, leak-proof housings which can contain aggressive liquids including most common organic solvents.

    Opening the Ampoule Housing

Open the ampoule housing by twisting off the leak-proof lid. The ampoule is sandwiched between two foam protectors. Use forceps to carefully remove the uppermost protector.

    Remove the Ampoule

Use forceps to gently but firmly grip the ampoule then carefully remove it out of the housing. Inspect the ampoule to make sure that it's intact and the contents look OK. If necessary, gently tap the ampoule to encourage the contents to settle into the bottom part.

    Open the Ampoule

To open, hold both the body and the top of the ampoule then gently but firmly snap open at the coloured break-ring. Make sure you have proper safety measures (gloves, goggles, fumehood, etc.) and snap away from your body.

    Use the Reagent

Fluids can be pipetted into or out of Ludger glass ampoules with standard pipettors or syringes with slim tips or needles. Be careful of the possibly sharp edges of the opening.
